In weeks after the September 11 attacks, 18-year-old Mansoor Adayfi was kidnapped by Afghan militia and sold to US forces for bounty money. After months of interrogations, he was sent to the US military prison at Guantánamo Bay, Cuba, as one of its first prisoners. Like the nearly 800 other men imprisoned at Guantanamo, Adayfi didn’t know why he was imprisoned or for how long. He had never seen a skyscraper and couldn’t imagine what the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center looked like, much less how they were destroyed.

What a Great Story
The history lesson was clear and astonishing! I was a child at the time, and hearing accounts from those songwriters explained so much. The cast took their roles seriously, thus a fabulous performance. Thank you for the adventure!

Great story and well done!
I loved the back stories of Shel Silverstein and Kris Kristofferson whose careers were so diverse and celebrated across a number of genres. And the Sue Brewer story and her impact on these artists was fascinating.

Powerful story
Absolutely loved this and will definitely listen to it again. Powerful story about the woman responsible for the successful careers of Waylon, Willie, Cash and Kristoferson but never set foot in the limelight or got the recognition she deserved from the country music industry.
